Here is news you will not see in the Country Jo urnal: along with a story on how good home schooling works.
10-3-03 The Agua Dulce Town Clowncil meet secretly with various county agencies to urge the County allow Lang to continue pumping water from "downtown" Agua Dulce. He was selling to water truck operators, mostly using non potable grading water trucks, to deliver and directly charge for the water.
Permitted potable water delivery companies such as Carson and Bigdipper in Acton (who will deliver to Agua Dulce) have special health department approved trucks for potable water use only.
NOTE potable water means drinking water. Non potable water is not safe to drink and can range from clean water to reclaimed sewage.
Note the so called Agua Dulce Town Clowncil claimed that they were not going to ask for a clean hands letter, but that held a secret meeting with the County where other groups such as the civic were prohibit from attending. See letter.
Who do these virtually self appointed "leaders" really represent, the community or the Airpark, The Chamber of Commerce and other special interest groups. Demand a open election supervised by an independent party to replace these serving people with truly elected community leaders and force them to adopt the Brown Act to keep all the meetings open and the public records act to make their secret communication public.

10-2-03 LA County health sources stated that the water supply (his well) failed to meet standards for safe drinking water and they not issue a license until he gets a safe source of water. Here is a quote from his website
"Contrary to some rumors, OF COURSE work performed at the Airpark is being done "with permits." We never thought to say so before, 'cause that's just the way things are done.".
The question is do you believe the Airpark or LA County?
The County also states "The Airpark can not serve food or Alcohol on a temporary permit with out an approved safe source of water which the airport does not have.
Here is the link to LA County Food Facility Rating system, search for Agua Dulce and you will not find a listing for the Airpark.

[In 2002, home-schooled students averaged 1,092 on the SAT, compared with the national average of 1,020, according to data from the Home School Legal Defense Association. A 2001 study by the U.S. Department of Education found that minority children educated at home fared better on reading and math scores than their counterparts in public schools. A 1998 study by the Education Policy Analysis Archives found that achievement levels of home schoolers "are exceptional." The peer-reviewed scholarly electronic journal reported that by the time "home school students are in eighth grade, they are four years ahead of their public/private school counterparts." ]
