9-18-08 The State Department of Education released the latest results for the exit exam (CAHSEE) last week. The exit exam became a graduation requirement two years ago. It consists of two tests that cover reading and writing on one test and math on another. Most students take the exam in March and that's the information we are reporting.
To look at other schools' information, the Antelope Valley High School District passed 67% in Math and 72% in English, the county passed 65% in Math and 67% English, and the state passed 71% Math and 72% English. In the William S. Hart District 85% passed in Math and 84% passed in English.
Vasquez did far better with 85% passing Math and 88% passing English.
For once we can report Vasquez succeeded at the level our students deserve to be at. If the stupid administrators had rounded up enough students to take the API exam, who knows, we might have been reporting good news instead of the continued failure of the administrators, the Superintendent and the School Board in the API exam.
We still cannot trust this failed management with our money in a school bond. Vote NO on the CF school bond in November.
