11-10-05 We can now come together to fix the school district.
During the campaign it became clear that almost all the of Candidate’s began supporting similar positions. A quick take is here:
1. A long-term master plan for the district.
2. Raising educational standards evidenced by higher test scores
3. Making whatever changes necessary to bring back the kids who left the district.
4. Raising developer fees to the maximum.
5. Purchasing the emergency portables from the state
6. Making the school board more transparent and giving the community ample opportunity to shape the school district.
7. Supporting the independent committees created by the board to provide input to the Board and superintendent on issues.
It now makes no importance in who created an idea. With all but one of the nine candidates supporting same ideas, it is time to come together to put these ideas into use and put aside the differences created in the campaign and focus on the community.
I offer my talents and support for placing the ideas in use and helping our students and their community to have distinguished and well loved community school's.
