Dear Dr. Crawford,
November 19, 1996
Attached are two pages from CFD 6. They cover improvements for areas A and B. It totals $2,800,000 for the School District. $1,850,000 has been spent to date. This leaves $950,000 as an entitlement.
The requirement in note 1 delineating the fully improved site (without regard to cost) was deleted by Nancy Kelso purportedly acting on behalf of the School Board. In fact she was acting for the group that became SUN that now controls your "board majority". It has been their long term goal to block unification and the building of a High School."
If you intend to swap the Wallace Canyon site with its near million dollar entitlement without extracting equal value from the entity receiving the property, than I along with a number of community members, will seek to block the trade as a gift of public funds.
Further, additional actions are planed on the conflict of interest issues of the funds and services received from Spears to pay for the SUN board's campaign expenses and may have an adverse affect on your COPs.
The site chosen as the best is only the best for Spears and the SUN board, not the community. The community will never accept the small High School located next to the freeway and will NEVER back a single tax for this district as long as the board disregards the public.
If I can be of any other service to you to explain the real facts, please call.
