7-17-09 here is an interview published in the Monrovia Weekly on Jul 16th, 2009
"Wagner moved to the Acton-Aqua Dulce School District as the assistant superintendent. The district has just opened its first high school and was struggling with the changes. She described the district as being in transition and “troubled.” After only six months as the assistant superintendent she was elevated to the position of superintendent at the departure of her predecessor. She remained there for two years before taking over as superintendent of the Keppel Union School District. "
Little in this interview from Wagner is the truth. The Acton Agua Dulce school was unified about six years before Wagner arrived. One of her first actions as superintendent was closing Acton school and then moveing the kids to a highly overcrowded Meadowlark school when they conducted classes in the library and on the stage of the multipurpose room for over 2 years.
She then tried to sell the closed school without any public or board approval. Some community members found the state code required her to convene a surplus committee to determine if their was any surplus property . The committee was unanimous in its vote that there was no surplus property and that she improperly had closed the Acton school without following the law.
She quit just as the campaign was started to remove her as superintendent. She even filed for a restraining order to block a parent from complaining about the abuse the parents disabled child in special education. She went to court and hired attorney without school board approval.
We were extremely happy when she left for Keppel and advise anybody in the community of Monrovia to keep a very close eye on Wagner She plays fast and loose with the laws and has her own agendas which don't relate to educating kids
