Document Request
As you are aware, last week Max and Gar forwarded you a list of questions that the committee has regarding surplus property. As secretary of the committee, I have been assigned the duty to consolidate this list into one list without duplicates. This consolidated list follows and also it included as an attachment.
Consolidated Information Request from the Surplus Property Committee Unless otherwise specified, the information requested covers the period from 1993 to the present.
1. A copy of the most recent School Facilities Needs Analysis o A copy of all prior enrollment projection studies. o Actual enrollment numbers by year and by grade from 1998-9 until 2003-4, so that we can see the actual enrollment trends that have developed. Please include breakdown of inter-district attendees by grade. o Backing data for the enrollment projections contained in the draft version of the Surplus Property Committee Report. A breakdown of this data by year and by grade would be extremely helpful. The methodology and the assumptions made in determining these projections would also be of great use.
2. Restroom capacity at Meadowlark (a simple count of toilet and urinal fixtures would suffice).
3. What work will be needed to be performed before the Acton site is ready to be leased? What are the costs for that work and the time frame for it to be completed? What considerations have been given to parking, handicap access, and what are the other considerations has the administration taken into account that need to be done before the site is available for lease?
4. If a successful tenant(s) is found for the Acton site, on an ongoing yearly basis:
4a What is the expected revenue?
4b What are the expected expenses?
4c. This will result in expected profit. Please provide the numbers as explicitly as possible, so that we can understand the reasoning.
5. All correspondence concerning the proposed rent of any of the Acton-Agua Dulce property for a period that exceeds 90 days
6. A copy of the Scotsman contract. This a significant yearly expense. Until we review the contract the possibility that some of these building might be considered surplus still exists.
7. All reports and data supporting the decision that the Acton School be closed.
Respectfully submitted,
Surplus Property Committees Ron Bird Secretary
