5-16-04 The school board has selected a Surplus Property Committee as required by Ed Code 17388. As the board has already closed the Acton School, they assume the committee will rubberstamp their decision and call the Acton School surplus. The committee is open to the public under the Brown Act, and the school is required to publish an agenda, which they failed to do. The committee will meet Monday, May 17 at 3:35 PM and Monday May 24 at 4:30 PM. They will meet at the Meadowlark School in room 405.
