School Facilities Special Meeting Agenda for the February 1, 2006 7:00 PM Teacher's Lounge - Acton

The special meeting is posted on the Acton School fence at least 24 hours before the meeting. A copy was sent to all local media (Acton Agua Dulce News. the Country Journal and the Vanguard News).

7:00 PM Teacher's Lounge - Acton School Held under the Brown Act. Some Basic Ground Rules: To encourage the free expression of ideas and should establish the open forum as an item on the agenda. As a convention, people may engage each other in discussion, but only two at a time. If a third or fourth party wishes to jump in they are encouraged to hold their comments until they are recognized. All discussions and disagreements should be aired in a spirit of community. The open forum section is an attempt to give all ideas voice to better find solutions to enhance the facilities that house the learning environment which are not on this Agenda.

2.3 Discuss prioritizing deferred maintenance items and estimating rough cost for submission to budget committee and the board as requested at 1-11-06 board meeting.

2.5 Discuses plans to reduce overcrowding a Meadowlark and to allow space for a full time kindergarten and restore CSR for the boards’ information.

2.6 Discuss plans to house the 30% of 8th graders that now leave the district instead of continuing to 9th grade.
