School Board Meeting of June 12th 2003
On June 12th 2003 this school board watcher was at the meeting. Alan Gafford of the Elections Division (George K Baum & Co.) gave a break down of the telephone survey taken here in A/AD. It was so poorly presented I could not even take a picture of the overhead projection he was showing nor could I write fast enough to copy down his figures, sooooo yep! you guessed it, First I called the AADUSD an requested a copy of the material presented at the School Board Meeting. I was told that they did not have a copy and that the presentation was barely completed in time for that nights meeting, But I could call back in a week of two.
So I sent a letter to the Elections Division care of Mr. Alan Gafford.
Dear Sir: On June 12th 2003 you presented a completed survey of the AADUSD School Bond via the School Board meeting at Meadowlark Elementary School. I attended this meeting because of my interest about the local School Bond issues. I found your presentation very informative, but could NOT follow the survey graphs, the film was too light and I could not write as fast as you disseminated these crucial statistics. So I am respectfully asking from your firm, a copy of this very important survey.
The documents would include:
Questions asked;
Graphs showing results of all questions asked;
Number of total people surveyed;
the figures of the amount of people, said they would most likely vote (Yes) for.
If you would kindly hardcopy/mail me these documents to the address below, it would be greatly appreciated. Letter above is the short version. I never did receive an answer from either the AADUSD or the Bond Company.( and yet they want our money :( I don't think so. June 16th 2003 another SBM A/AD and low and behold we now have copies of the survey. We also have no people in attendance either. On the board you have all the SBM'S Inc Mr. Banderos and His Secretary. In the audience were, Virginia Applen (Advocate for Women?) Karen Duran (Husband is Max Duran builder of LA Schools) Wendy Nispors (Bond advocate) They are the Bond Committee for Higher Taxes! They talked about how unfair the people of( NO ) on Measure Q were, and the lies we told to win the vote. WIN we did, but not by Lies or Rumors but by the information the SCHOOL PROVIDED. Back
