Proposed School Re-configuration opposed.
12-1-95 The School financial adviser, in concert with some of the staff and School Board, decided to “solve” the overcrowding problem and lack of money by proposing a year round school along with busing all K-4 to Agua Dulce and 5-8 to Acton and having 9-12 at High Desert.
The plan was poorly received by over 200 community members at a special board meeting called for 5 pm, December 7, with less than 1 week's notice.
30 persons spoke against the Board plans and only one person supported the plan. A more detailed story will outline the opposition to the plan and other issues.
This issue contains letters written to the District which have received no response as of December 14, at 2 pm.
