1-29-05 Ref: Country Journal issue 4, January 29,2005. Lorene Cangiano is urging to send following letter to the AD Town council, LA Supervisor Michael Antonovich, Barry Kirschner and the AD Civic Association.
I quote her statement from that letter:
"I support Lorene's proposal for the format of small group meetings in addition to general community meetings, and I would like to request that Lorene Cangiano advocate for "the silent majority" and report ...?? and Lillian Smith report these meetings in order to inform the larger community".
Signed: Lorene Cangiano - Eye on Agua Dulce lcangiano@chomg.com
I support the idea of meetings but I do not support, like many other residents of Agua Dulce, that Lorene can or should be an advocate for the silent majority. She is known to be a FIERCE PROPONENT for the Airpark. Do we need a fox keeping watch over the chickens in the henhouse? We need a non-biased, impartial advocate to represent the existing "silent majority" .
During her testimony at the Regional Planning Commission Airpark Hearing, Lorene stated that 90% of Agua Dulce is relatively comfortable with the Airpark and that 10% is represented by the Concerned Citizens of Agua Dulce (CCAD) and the Agua Dulce Civic Association. This is an outrageous inaccurate statement. I do not belong to any club or speak for any association. I'm concerned that those who oppose the airpark in any shape or form will be snuffed out by paid or rewarded money hungry lobbyists.
My personal position on the Airpark is for the REVOCATION of the current permit because of ongoing violations which are not fixed and increasingly noisy aircraft traffic. We need to start from scratch with an ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT (EIR).
