This is a proposal for a 15 billion dollar project for a 200 mph+ train connection Los Angeles to San Francisco. It is to be financed by an increase in Sales tax or Gas tax or both. Its impact to our community is a major cut along Soledad canyon and the removal of several hundred homes. It will add noise to our community with the questionable benefit that we can drive to Lancaster and than ride a high speed train to downtown LA or points north. We are obtaining more documents to post for the communities information. Neither Town Councils has been active in this issue. The Political "leaders" of the Antelope Valley are, of course, in favor of the project.

cost in the neighborhood of $15 billion. Financing options would include massive tax
increases. Question if better spent on roads.
