Park crime alert

Apparently the Acton community will be dictated to by the town council and the Chamber of Commerce as to where and what sort of public parks the community wants.
These people dont recognize that the Acton Community Standards Survey stated overwhelmingly that the community does not want public parks in Acton.
You the voters, voted 66% to reject Prop A and the park.
A public park would bring vast amounts of crime and vandalism because the park would have to be open to the public, any public, which includes gang members commuting between Palmdale and LA. It provides no funds for added sheriff patrols or money to maintain, supervise, or provide public safety at night.
The next step will be a new tax to maintain the park.
The alternate proposal has been to purchase a significant amount of open space and keep the open space in perpetuity without county improvements for the benefit of the community. This large amount of open space would not have to be policed because it is the same space that is currently open. It would have no public activities on it and would not be used by outside groups. This would permanently provide large amounts of open vistas and views in our community.
But, again this sullied little group of people want to put in a park like you see in downtown Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley, complete with crime, graffiti, gangs and all the accoutrements that come with county parks.
These people do not understand that most people moved to Acton to get away from public parks, strip malls, and other urban commercial endeavors
These misguided individuals that think the money should be spent on this should not have any input to the County unless they can prove that they have substantial support, and that can only be proven by an official vote of the people, subject to all the rules and regulations of the County code.
Be aware that they will probably circulate petitions saying we want a park, and have you sign without any information of the liabilities and negative aspects of a public park.
