Lillian's Response
This letter was sent in response to the request from California Regional Water Quality to work together for the good of the community. A negative response was received 4-28-97.
We are quite willing to do this.
At this point we are willing to put aside all questions as to who represents the community and who is the Town Council. We want to work towards a well monitoring program, cleaning up of the pig farm contamination, manure removal, and other issues that are appropriate for a ground water protection.
We stand ready and available to meet with your group, or representatives, of your group whenever you find it appropriate. We are do not propose merging of the groups.

Re: Water Committee Meetings
Thank you for your fax message of April 18, 1997. As you know, the Agua Dulce Town Council Water Committee meetings are open to residents of the community. You are not a resident of the community. You have indicated publicly that you are a representative for development interests [see note] that are contrary to the stated intent of the work of the Committee which is an action committee under the Town Council. Therefore, we are unable to extend an invitation to you.

Re: Water Committee Meetings
Thank you for your fax message of April 18, 1997. As you know the Agua Dulce Town Council Water Committee meetings are open to residents of the community, and resident guests often attend. You are a resident of the community, you are welcome to attend. Should you wish to be placed on the agenda regarding any matter that is within the purview of the Committee, I would appreciate your letting me know in advance so that I may schedule adequate time. The agenda for each meeting is always quite full. We have been meeting regularly at the Agua Dulce Chamber of Commerce office on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. Thank you for your interest.
Cc: Wendy Phillips, Planning Chief, Regional Water Quality Control Board Staff Jack Kolb, Acting Executive Director, Regional Water Quality Control Board.
Note: Don McAdams asked me to help STOP the sewer system for Agua Dulce. This was publicly disclosed at a Agua Dulce Town Council meeting over a year ago. Stopping a sewer system is only "...contrary to the stated intent of the work of the Committee...", only true if the purpose of Smith is to force a Sewer system on the community for her handlers.
