Community comments about the Airpark

7-26-04 This letter was sent by Ron Bird to various county offices to support the position that the 1961 plot plan (revised exhibit A) violated the permits already approved and should not be used as a basis for calculating aircraft storage square footage at the Agua Dulce Airport.
7-22-04 More Noise caused by the Airport
7-9-04 More on "night landings" at the Airport
6-29-04 Response from Regional Planning to 6-16-04 presentation
6-16-04 Members of the community representing the Agua Dulce Civic Association and Concerned Citizens of Agua Dulce, with members of the Agua Dulce Town Council observing, met with Supervisor Antonovich and County staff regarding the Agua Dulce Airport
5-25-04 Ron Bird originally sent us his 4-4-04 Bird's Eye View, which we placed online the same day. While it was also sent to the Country Journal advertiser it was not published until the 5-1-04 issue. In the 5-8-04 issue the advertiser published an unsigned letter opposing Ron's views and republished the same letter in full with a signature of Brandon Cangiano on 5-15-04. We do not have permission to republish his letter
5-22-04 I am very concerned about the July 4th fireworks at the Agua Dulce Airpark.

4-2-04 The Bird's Eye View on How Barry Has Pulled the Wool Over the Community's Eyes
Here is a false rumor in Agua Dulce "The School Board will close the Agua Dulce Elementary School because of the airpark". Wrong. Barry Kirshner of The Agua Dulce Airpark and Charles Brink personally confirmed that this is incorrect. The proposed closing of the School has nothing to do with the Airpark but is an effort to pass the school bond.
7-15-03 Jeremy G. Schuster responded to Dusick's claims that "the council has listened to this argument at least four times as it cycled through the community," by saying "then I submit that the argument you reference is of obvious, continuing community concern, warranting the attention of the Town Council, not the imposition of limitations on presentations or discussion of the community before the council" when Dusick tried to stop discussing of the Airpark issues.
7-1-03 Letter to County council restating the problems with the Airpark
7-1-03 Letter to Antonovich which states "As you may know, operation of an airport in Agua Dulce has been a community concern since 1958"

9-15-03 Agua Dulce Country Fair issues. It has been taken from the community, renamed the Airpark's "Wild West Days" and now controlled by the Airpark
Airpark's Wild West Days was small and not as intrusive as they wanted. With some fine tuning this type of event could be acceptable to the community.
9-15-03 Temporary use permit case no. TUP 03-020 ( 5 ). The TUP was received from Regional Planning on Monday 9/15/2003 6:40 AM after the event was over. Regional Planning included a number of our requests in the TUP.
9-12-03 Letter sent to Airpark about their apparent pollution of Agua Dulce's

Demolition Derby

water supply. It states in part "My concern on this issue is the discharge of petroleum products that will contaminate the ground water. Your proposed Demolition Derby will dump petroleum products (oil, rubber, and antifreeze, etc.) directly into the ground in violation of the Fish and Game Code Section 5650." More pictures

9-8-03 Letter to LA County Regional Planning Concerning TUP 03-20
9-8-03 Letter to stop pollution of Agua Dulce ground water by the demolition derby.
9-9-03 How the TUP is not the same event as the Airpark's Wild West days.
2-04-00 The point is to raise my annual objection against granting of a permit for a fireworks display and public entertainment at the Agua Dulce Airport
