The Board regretfully accepts this resignation, and thanks Toni for her immense contribution this past year, but understands the heavy work and time constraints she has been under. Thanks, Toni, for all you've done for the Civic Association! Toni then hands over her complete file (Membership) to Secretary Lampton. Tonii will retain key to Mailbox for the next month or so.
It was discussed and decided to cancel the Civic General Meeting scheduled for next Thursday (11/18/04), and "go dark" for the month of December also, due to the heavy schedules of the holidays. The Board will, however, continue to hold Board Meetings for next few months. Tana to make cancellation sign and post at Women's Club.
2. Installation - scheduled for December 18th will be cancelled until February General Meeting. Tana to re-schedule with Vineyard for that date; also to call dignitaries who were invited to participate in Installation.
3. Airpark Committee Report received and discussed. The Board thanks the Committee for their immense work and time.
It was discussed and decided unanimously to take a very strong position from this point on regarding the inaction of the proponents of the Airport. The Civic and its Committee has shown good faith up to this point in time. Members have rescheduled their busy calendars twice, to meet at the pleasure of attorneys, and have not, as yet, been presented with a good faith, professional Plan.
Consensus to draft letter to County in very strong terms regarding the inaction by the Owners of Airpark.
Consensus to draft newsletter this week to be sent to membership-
4. Other Business - Consensus to draft letter to Dr. Linda Wagner, AADUSD Superintendent, regarding the actions taken by certain School Personnel during the recent Town Council Elections, C.c. to Mr. Antonovich plus the School Board, and presented at next Thursday's School Board Meeting (11/18/4). Lampton to draft for Board perusal as Secretary Bob O. will be busy with Jan's surgery, and after approval will present at that School Board Meeting.
