Dear Mr. Hartman,
The point is to raise my annual objection against granting of a permit for a fireworks display and public entertainment at the Agua Dulce Airport in Agua Dulce. The fire code specifically prohibits fireworks in any areas except industrial areas. The airport is zoned A 2 and is not an industrial area under the definition of the fire code.
Therefore, it is my position that you do not have the authority to issue a permit under the directors’ review provisions for fireworks show because the law specifically prohibits it. Further, each one of these shows involves entertainment, food sales and other items that clearly fall outside the directors’ review and requires full CUP hearing under the law. I therefore demand that you not issue a permit for the fireworks in Agua Dulce this year unless it goes through a formal CUP process and that they change the zone to industrial so they can comply with the fire regulations.
If you do have a directors review I would like advance notice and the opportunity to testify at that review along with other people in Agua Dulce who similarly object to the annual fireworks display.
