Airport Violates the Law Again!!

Filming in Agua Dulce on 3-11-05

3-11-05 An alert community spotted the airport filming over Agua Dulce, with a folker tri-plane replica and a helicopter. Park Overall called Entertainment Industry Development Council (EIDC)  which regulates filming, about  10:00 am and found that they had neither applied for nor received a permit for filming. She then notified Paul Novak, of Supervisor Antonovich's office, who then contacted the LA County Department of Building and Safety, who cited the airport for illegal filming about noon. The LA County Department of Building and Safety also discovered that they were filming in a hangar built without permit, which the County had previously ordered them not to use it until they received a permit, after the Revocation Hearing is decided.

The community should thank Paul Novak, of Supervisor Antonovich's office, for his prompt action.

In a display of the airport's arrogance, even after being cited by the County, they resumed filming about 4:00 PM with an outlandish claim by Aaron Clark, the lobbyist for the airport, that it was only “practice filming” which didn't require County permits.

The town apologists, Joanne Swanson, Andy Fried and the Mother and Son Cangiano team, who continue to support this airport's harassment of the community need to understand that they are in bed with a group that thinks nothing of violating the law.
