Dear Mike {Antonovich]:
1-25-05 This morning at 5:37 A.M. with the moon still high in the northwestern sky, one Cessna aircraft (identified by its sound) took-off from the Agua Dulce airport runway 04; as quietly and with take-off path as tight as possible over Sierra Colony, because you see, it was still night time to the vast majority of our residents, and the very in-considerate pilot apparently didn't want to apply full engine power (like ahem, most every truly "considerate and responsible pilot" always does whenever they fly low over our community) and wake the entire town to his "sneaky" deed -- and actually and of course to his thinking it was almost daytime to him, don't you see?
This is another bad example of the Agua Dulce airport owners and airport management's irresponsibility to poorly manage and not enforce the rules and regulations of their airport facility.
Today's action adds one more violation to the ever growing pile of broken promises, broken rules, outright lies, violations of permits, negative act activities -- and the inability of the "airport" or anyone else to prevent these exasperating incidents that continually irritate residents of our entire community. The only way to stop this continuous abuse is to close this airport forever!
Another touch of airport arrogance was the large 9 passenger "Pilatus" turbo-prop-jet aircraft that I observed parked at Agua Dulce airport when I returned from the County Revocation/Modification Meeting in Acton last Saturday. This aircraft is the largest single engine turbo-prop-jet aircraft manufactured in the world -- and produced an ear-shattering experience to us on the ground as it took-off over Sierra Colony at 1:04:40 P.M. Saturday afternoon.
Mike, thank you for the meeting on Saturday. Not long enough for everyone to speak to the committee, but hopefully they received enough of our message to work on. Those of us who were denied time to speak will send our messages via letter. I know that our community of Agua Dulce appreciates your consideration in providing this meeting, and it will provide even more incentive for residential participation in attending to this persisting airport problem.
Sincerely: Robert L. Owens Agua Dulce, CA 93190
