Illegal signs

More on Illegal Election signs

10-25-99 I was working on my roof Sunday evening and heard some hammering on Crown Valley. I looked down to see a white pickup truck and 2 males posting illegal signs in the road right-of-way. The Illegal Signs were for Dusick and Sisco. All signs in the road right-of-way are illegal.

I Made a short drive around and saw that Sisco has a few new supporters - Stop signs. He has fastened his sign on the stop sign at Wisconsin and Soledad Canyon along with near the stop signs a Crown Valley (SE) and Soledad and Crown Valley and Gillespie (NE).

I Ask you, why vote for people who violate the laws to control childrens' education?

When they whine the signs are legal, here is a quote form the California outdoor advertising code.

5405.3. Nothing in this chapter, including, but not limited to, Section 5405, shall prohibit the placing of temporary political signs, unless a federal agency determines that such placement would violate federal regulations. However, no such sign shall be placed within the right-of-way of any highway or within 660 feet of the edge of and visible from the right-of-way of a landscaped freeway.

All signs on private property are prohibited under PC 556.

10-19-99 Apparently John Sisco's only supporters are the power poles. He should be placing his signs on private property with the owners approval. Instead he nails them as illegal signs on power poles. The sign's were reported to the so called Acton Town council which Chris Hamper said "We kind of look the other way during elections". This rewards their friends by allowing this illegal Act,

VOTE NO ON SISCO because any Acton resident knows that signs on poles are illegal

SCE Has sent this release to the registrar of voters and are calling Sisco to remove his illegal signs.

With election season on the horizon, Southern California Edison is once again reminding that it is unlawful to post election materials on utility poles.

This practice violates California penal Code 556.1 and 591, which prohibits posting political placards and leaflets, or any other information or advertisement regarding community events, garage sales, or lost animals. Listed as a misdemeanor, the Penal Code states that the offense is punishable by a fine of $500 and a maximum five-year imprisonment.

The law protects Edison linemen and their crews who use the poles in their work. Nails or other fasteners used to hold signs create a hazard for these employees.

We certainly appreciate your cooperation in advising political candidates and campaign workers to refrain from placing signs and placards on utility poles.

Thank you for your assistance. Alis Clausen Region Manager

Illegal signs in Agua Dulce

Since the Chamber council has been in place, the number of illegal signs in Agua Dulce has doubled. Interestingly, these so called town council persons are using illegal signs to sell the community on their agenda.

There are sign boards at the corner of Agua Dulce Canyon and Escondido and signs all over Agua Dulce. The Outlaw council y does not seem to care . This group made up of the Brewer (Agua Dulce Hardware) the Sullivans, Feuerhelm, and now the Dees, are only interested in urbanizing Agua Dulce. They want to put in their big park, have their big events, and they don't want to object to sand and gravel projects or intrusive movie filming.

They are simply for business and expansion.

The legitimate Agua Dulce Town Council did put up a sign board sign on the night of the council meetings, just to remind people of the that nights meeting.
This Outlaw council however thinks nothing of erecting illegal sign for over a week and a half in advance of their meetings. Then they nothing to remove the illegal signs
