Kathy Howald and Ruthann Hileman absent, all other officers and members present.

Minutes of May 20, 1996 regular meeting distributed, read and approved.

Secretary Bill Daniels reviewed the following correspondence:

Incoming

A letter from Regional Planning Commission regarding a discussion of flood plain management to be held at their regular meeting on Wed. June 12.

An agenda for the June 11 meeting of the Inter-City High Speed Rail Commission.

A copy of the Wireless Communication Facility report from Dept. of Regional Planning to L.A.County Board of Supervisors . (Turned over to Utilities Committee for follow-up,)

Jeff Wadsworth submitted and read a letter announcing his resignation from the Council effective June 15, 1996.

Trails, Open Space & Recreation Chairman Tom Haile
Reported on a successful moonlight ride Sat. May 18, sponsored by Acton Trailhead.
The Memorial Day ride was rerouted to Messenger Flat due to previous commitments at Lightning Point.
Heard from Darrell Readmond that Tujunga Dist. Ranger Clara Johnson will come to the community to explain her decision on Arrastre/Moody Project. Date unspecified.

Publicity Chairman Gerry Williams reported that all materials received had been posted in the display boxes. Utilities Chairman Chrys Hamper § Planning to attend Regional Planning Commission meeting June 12.

Community Standards - No Report

Beautification Co-Chair Chrys Hamper / John Spence
Successful cleanup at Mountain Springs Rd. overpass, 3943 Sierra Hwy. , and Aliso St.
Still working on dump site on Soledad Cyn Rd opposite Arrastre. T
rying to locate John Fitzgerald regarding cleanup of his home on Soledad Cyn Rd.
Has prepared list of signs to be submitted to Zoning Enforcement.

Drainage and Roads Chairman Chrys Hamper Announced meeting with Dave Vannatta on Aug. 15.

Rural Town Council Chairman Dick Morris Nothing to Report.

Santa Clara River Steering Committee - No Report

Old Business

Party to erect the steel storage building starting at 0700 on Thursday June 13. Volunteers invited.

New Business

The Chair announced appointment of Kathy Howald to Chair the Election Committee for the upcoming election.

The Chair announced the next regular meeting to be held June 17, 1996. 7:30 p.m. Acton Community Center.
