Election Committee - Chairman Kathy Howald Presented the report of the committee for the November 5th Regular Election. Presented Certificates of Appreciation to Co-Chair Larry Smith , and member Edie Jeske . The Chair announced Certificates of Appreciation for Gerry & Patty Williams . George Miller moved to accept the Report - Motion Carried - unanimous The Chair declared the committee disbanded.
Acton Chamber of Commerce President Dave Spann installed the following newly elected or re-elected members: Dick Morris, Kent Madsen, George Miller, and Paul Weatherman
Election of Officers - The Chair announced the following candidates : President - Dick Morris, Vice President - Kathy Howald, Recording Secretary - Kent Madsen, Corresponding Secretary - Kent Madsen, Treasurer - Ruthann Hileman .
The Chair then opened the meeting for nominations from the floor. None were offered. Kathy Howald moved to accept the slate of candidates as presented - Motion Carried - unanimous.

Nov. 11
Still gathering data on Prop A, Flood Control, Stallion Meadow , etc.
George Miller reported that Prop A funds cannot be used for flood control.
P.M. 22284 - (McEnnery Cyn. - Todd Landis) Regional Planning Commission hearing held Nov.
5 on Request to eliminate modified conditions (grading, paving & improvements).
Expressed concern regarding lack of follow-up response from Dept. of Regional Planning .
Will investigate.
Negotiations with property owners behind Re-Hab Center for trail easement are favorable.
Announced that Acton-Agua Dulce Unified School Dist. had voted to accept the 50 acre site
at the NE corner of Escondido Cyn. Rd. / Red Rover Mine Rd. for the new high school. Plans
may include some park facilities.

Community Standards Chairman Kathy Howald Moved to accept the draft copy of Community Standards District-Summary of Provisions submitted by Lee Stark (Dept. of Regional Planning ) - Motion Carried - Unanimous.
Beautification Co-Chairs Chrys Hamper / John Spence
Got cleanup estimate to property owners regarding Aliso Cyn. Rd./ Ave Y-8 dump site. They
think it is too high. Referred them to contractor for further negotiations.
Campaign signs and garage sale signs have been removed.
Graffiti on Sierra Hwy. cleaned up by L.A. County Waterworks.
Graffiti on Bootlegger by railroad tracks. Metrolink will do cleanup.
Wildflower planting - Moved to put informal survey in Country Journal - Motion Withdrawn
following discussion.
Drainage and Roads Chairman Chrys Hamper Resurfacing of Soledad Cyn. Rd. will resume in March 97 due to cold temperatures.
Rural Town Council Chairman Dick Morris Meeting to be held Thursday Nov. 21, by new group trying to revive ARTC.

At the request of The Chair, Lillian Smith, publisher of the Country Journal, gave a review of the current dispute involving the Agua Dulce Town Council recent election process.
New Business
Paul Weatherman moved that Beautification Committee distribute a community survey regarding the planting of wildflowers in Acton. - No Second.
