Flood and Roads Chrys Hamper reported on a meeting held with county officials last Friday concerning new F.E.M.A. policies. Another meeting will be held Monday April 15 to discuss plans for our area.
Community Standards Gerry Williams questioned the availability of the Community Standards Ordinance. Copies have been reported to be available, but apparently are not. Bill Daniels asked Larry Smith to print a copy which he will then reproduce for general distribution.
Beautification Chrys Hamper read a letter sent in response to a complaint dated January 5, 1996 from a resident concerning graffiti appearing on a fence adjoining the north side of SR14 east of Red Rover Mine Rd. Indicated she has been working with specialists from L.A.S.D. to help track down offenders. She has contacted persons involved in the recent election to have campaign signs removed.
Trails, Open Space & Recreation Chairman Tom Haile expressed appreciation for all who worked on the Arrastre/Moody Cyn issue. He has been in contact with U.S.F.S. officials, they have requested further documentation for study, and will keep the Council advised of any additional information.
Rural Town Council No Report.
Publicity Chairman Gerry Williams reported that all materials received had been posted in the display boxes.
Santa Clara River Steering Committee No Report.
Old Business
Ruthann Hileman reported on an alleged violation of the Community Standards Ordinance as well as other County regulations by the un-permitted construction of a portion of perimeter fence on Wisconsin St. County officials have been made aware and are investigating. A question was raised from the Gallery (Ray Billet) regarding action taken a t the L.A.County Board of Supervisors meeting of March 14, concerning the proposed Delta Gas franchise, a portion of which will serve the developments in McEnnery Canyon. The Council will investigate to determine if information had been withheld.
New Business
The Chair announced the next regular meeting to be held April 15, 1996. 7:30 p.m. Acton Community Center. Planning meeting scheduled for April 9, 7:30pm Acton Community Center .
