Corresponding Secretary Bill Daniels reviewed the following correspondence:
Incoming
A newsletter from Quartz Hill.
A letter from the County Library regarding long range library planning. Copy will be placed in bulletin board, and copy to be given to Country Journal.
A copy of a letter to various officials and agencies from the Acton/Agua Dulce Trails Council expressing concerns with the Arrastre/Moody project, and opposition to the multi-use trail.
A letter from an Acton resident expressing opposition to the U.S.F.S. multi-use trails plan.

Committee Reports
Planning & Coordinating Chairman Kathy Howald Reported on :ASU project at the SW Corner of Crown Valley Rd and Antelope Woods involving 9+ Acres approx. 75% Commercial and 25% residential. Proposed shopping center complex with Drug Store / Supermarket. Developers have not made official application for Tract/Parcel map or Zone Change.
Still following up on Prop A funds for S.E.A. and trail access to Angeles National Forest. Met at Michael Antonovich office with Representatives of U.S.F.S. and LA County Dept. of Parks and Recreation, Dick Morris, and others from the community to discuss feasibility of pursuing Prop A funds to acquire access through Rehab to forest. Route includes section of easement through private property which specifies no motorized vehicles.
Metrolink Pedestrian / Equestrian rail crossing at Soledad / Crown Valley. Meeting has been set up with officials.
Working on Sierra View Apartments sewage problem. County Health Officials are aware and involved.
Cellular Antenna Poles C.U.P. application for Sierra Hwy. / Joshua has been rescinded pending board action on policy.
Letter to Country Journal from George and Pauline Miller with respect to perceived violations of Community Standards Ordinance. LA County Zoning Enforcement { John Calas } has been advised.
Finance, Ways and Means Nothing to report. a suggestion was offered from the gallery to rent space at gymkhana swap meet . Ruthann Hileman will investigate.
Bylaws Nothing to Report.
Trails, Open Space & Recreation Chairman Tom Haile reported on a meeting held by USFS for communities on the south forest boundary pushing for multi-use trail access.
A document was presented and read by Secretary Bill Daniels regarding an organization called California Trail Users Coalition, first meeting to be held Mar. 6, 1996, purporting to represent all concerned user groups.
Publicity Chairman Gerry Williams reported that all materials received had been posted in the display boxes
Beautification Nothing to report.
There was some discussion regarding fence graffiti north of SR14 East of Red Rover Mine Rd.
The Chair asked about progress on dumping on Soledad Cyn Rd.- No progress.
The Chair reported receipt of an anonymous complaint regarding the condition of the property at 32032 Crown Valley Rd. After some discussion, Gerry Williams moved that the Town Council write a letter to the owner of the property stating that it has been brought to the attention of the council that they are in violation of county code and the Community Standards District and it would be appreciated if he could correct the problem and if not the council will notify the county- - No Second. No action. John Spence indicated he will contact the occupants as a private individual.
The Chair reported litter on Crown Valley Rd. and Soledad Cyn Rd. - No action.
The Chair reported on the question of Real Estate Signs placed on other than listed property. A letter has been sent to LA County zoning enforcement for clarification.
Flood and Roads The Chair reported that a meeting has been set with Dave Vannatta and Dept. of Public Works at Michael Antonovich Palmdale Office, Mar 27, at 9:00 am. to determine action to be followed.
Rural Town Council No Report.
Santa Clara River Steering Committee Nothing to Report.
Arrastre / Moody Cyn Bill Daniels reported on the second of two public meetings held Feb. 27., and a meeting involving himself, Kathy Howald ,and Dick Morris at the office of Clara Johnson. The Committee will meet Sat. March 16, to finalize draft of EA Response to be presented to full Council at the General Meeting of March 18.
Old Business
In response to a query from the gallery regarding the Delta Gas franchise in McEnnery Cyn, The Chair indicated that no process has been started.
New Business
The Chair entertained a motion to call for roll call vote.
Gerry Williams moved that any action which affects the community be done by roll-call vote - Motion Carried
