This got started as when we bought the old "Simpson" house in Acton
we got three old trees with funny looking inedible lumpy fuzzy, hard fruit. We
learned they were Quince.
Quince Cydonia oblonga Miller (Pyrus cydonia), Rosaceae. The
quince fruit is fragrant, fuzzy, and yellowish when ripe. It is roughly
pear-shaped, but lumpier and typically larger than a pear. The fruit must
be eaten cooked since it is very astringent raw; the cooked pulp has a pretty
pink color.

We have added a History Page
with links to Acton and Agua Dulce History. As your Editor has been in Acton for
since 1947
(Even some people still Lies that I am not even a
resident). As a side bar in august of 1997, I attended my 40th High School Reunion. I
graduated from AV High School in 1957. At that time AV was the only High School.
